THE story behind the storyteller? Is that what this article is about?
Well, not really. But let me tell you a tiny bit about myself.

As a journalism student, it is instilled in me that there is a voice unheard, a hero unsung. That there is a story beneath the noise that we call the news.​
​
I believe in creating the most inclusive and accessible digital experiences we can. By taking each pixel seriously, we are designing for the unincluded, the marginalized, the disparaged.​

​An avid reader and and at heart, a storyteller. I loved listening to my mother's stories as I grew up and it is with that love and passion I try to craft consequential and worthwhile moments and adventures for the people around me.
Design came to me when I was making magazines in college. Tabloids and broadsheets really. But it let me make the stories, let me plant the easter eggs I was so used to unearthing myself. It was then, and under the tutelage of a kind mentor, I realized I liked this kind of impact.

I share my love for stories at @readwithpriyal (Instagram). I'd receive Indie books and over there, I'd write about them. It was my way of telling the world, and aspiring writers, that even the most quietly told stories can find their way into the hearts of many.
​
In a moment of disbelief and delight, Bookriot, a popular page with a community of 300,000 readers, shared one of my snapshots. Seeing my post ripple through a space I've long admired was surreal. They had added alt text to the caption. In that small detail, I found myself in another beautifully inclusive bibliophilic realm.
